About Me
I was born in the Prättigau on the 25th January 1982. I spent a lot of time in the mountains as a small child and at the age of three I started skiing and also stood on my first peak.
Through the youth organisation of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) I learnt the correct mountain etiquette as well as how to do independent planning and the carrying out of mountain tours. With youthful insouciance I gained valuable experience in various fields of mountaineering.
After my apprenticeship as an electrician I got gripped by the travel bug. I travelled to many countries such as Norway, Australia, Thailand, America and Argentina – my skis or my climbing equipment were always part of my luggage.
I learnt the pleasure of guiding people in the mountains when I was a leader in the research group of the SAC and also when I was a children’s ski instructor in Klosters.
I began training for my official diploma as a mountain guide in 2008 and qualified in September 2010. Now I work almost exclusively as a mountain guide.
